Our studio has produced some moving Public Service Announcements (PSAs) specifically designed to educate and equip college students to talk to their parents about the importance of colon cancer screening.  These PSAs have been approved by the American Cancer Society and will be broadcast on many major college and university campuses through their on-campus TV network systems.

Fast facts about colon cancer as expressed in the PSAs:
it kills more people than AIDS and Breast Cancer combined
150 people die from colorectal cancer each day (about one every nine minutes)
it is 95% preventable if caught early by screening
if you wait for the first symptoms you have a 10 to 30 % chance to survive

Anne Brady Moore is a wonderful young woman who unfortunately lost her mother to colon cancer while she was a Sophomore in college.  Her plea on the PSAs is for other college age students to speak to their parents about prevention before it is too late because they "may be the voice that saves their parents lives."
